How vibration plate training works

So how does vibration plate training work?

At High Vibe we ensure your workouts are safe and effective so all your sessions will be done with the guidance of a personal trainer.
Exercising on a Vibrogym power plate causes your muscles to contract at very high speeds. These involuntary muscle contractions are known as a ‘stretch reflex’ and engage more muscle fibres than regular resistance training – almost 100% compared to 50-60% in conventional exercise! So it’s important that you’re doing it right.

Your entire body is stimulated so muscles that are infrequently used and difficult to target are activated and strengthened. The power plate can be set at frequencies from 30hz-50hz. The intensity is built up over time and your session involves static and dynamic exercises covering all of your muscle groups. We  always tailor the session to you and take into account any injuries or issues you may have and your current level of fitness.

And what are the benefits?

Scientific studies have shown vibration plate training to be very effective in a number of areas;

  • Increased bone density
  • Improvements in stamina and endurance
  • Increased metabolic rate
  • Improved fat burning capabilities
  • Reduction in cellulite and general skin texture
  • Increased muscle strength and tone
  • Improvement in blood circulation

And one of the biggest benefits of all is that a session only takes 30 minutes!
